Hangard Tourist Camp

This is where we stayed at Lake Khuvsgul. The lake and it's surrounding areas are so beautiful that if not for the freezing -40 °C winters I will be tempted to move here.

The road leading to Hangard. The roads here are bad locals actually prefer riding horses to get around.

 

The larger building is the dining hall and the smaller building to it's right is the toilet.

 

 

 

 

 

Weather changes are drastic, here we experienced our first storm

 

 

 

The inside of the ger complete with a heater and firewood. These are usually large enough for 8 people but we had this all to ourselves. This camp like the others we stayed had electricity after dark for a couple of hours which means hot showers and I could charge my camera batteries.

 

 

 

Heavy storm and yet the sun was out. Beautiful double rainbows !
