Day out to the Calanque

It's one of those things to do in Marseille when the weather is good and we that was what we had. Unfortunately the cruises were not operating from the main harbour on sundays  and we had to take a bus further out where they had cruises.
Needless to say ...the sights and the food, especially the seafood...... Heavenly !

What a beautiful piece of art

While the grayish building may look dull and uninspiring ...  its a totally different view once you step foot inside !  

Bouillabaisse... must try !

Here we had a guide Patrick from a local volunteer group who showed us around the local hangouts + markets and introduced us to the food and culture of Marseille. Here we were told the Bouillabaisse is a must try but find the real stuff.

Next stop Marseille

Another beautiful place worth spending a few days to explore ...  Lots of decent hotels short walking distance from the hotel.

After the light overnight rain, I spend the morning exploring the surrounding gardens and it turned out to be a really interesting walk.
